Journey to the West, along with its different demons and deities of characters, have gone through many adaptations and interpretations throughout the literal centuries.Lego Monkie Kid is no different from that, but it has brought together a group of artists and writers who want to share their love of it and those other versions of the characters.Despite different interpretations of the characters, the base is still recognizable (familiar even) one can say.Even with these characters combining, acknowledging, or interacting with their other selves, they are still that character.This zine is a play on that.

Contributor Expectations

  • All applicants must be at least 13 years of age at the time of application. No exceptions.

  • While NSFW work can be in your application, the final product must be SFW.

  • All work submitted must be created by the applicant. No plagiarism or theft will be tolerated in any form.

  • Any and all links submitted must be accessible, please ensure that permissions are set to allow us to view so we may properly assess your work. If we are unable to view your work, we will be forced to disregard your application.

  • You may apply for more than one role, but this doesn’t not mean you will be accepted for multiple roles. We hope to limit it to one role per person so that no one will overwork.

  • We intended to ask about possible pinch hitters in the application. If you are interested, please tell us on your application.
